Scheduled jobs and automation
Background reminders for overdue invoices, bills and deadlines — run automatically.
Last updated 12/09/2026
The automation engine runs background jobs on a schedule, so reminders go out without anyone remembering to send them.
What runs automatically
- Invoice overdue reminder — notifies your team when an invoice is overdue.
- Bill due reminder — notifies when a bill is due or overdue.
- Client deadline reminder — notifies within each deadline's lead time.
Each job only notifies once per item (within 24 hours), so no one is spammed.
Viewing and controlling jobs
- Go to System & Automation → Scheduled jobs.
- Each job shows its frequency, last run, run count and status.
- Use Run now to trigger a job immediately (for example, after importing a batch of overdue invoices).
- Use Pause / Enable to switch a job off or on.
- The Recent runs list shows every execution and what it found.
How it helps
- Overdue invoices get chased automatically.
- Deadlines surface before they arrive.
- The run history is your audit trail of what was reminded and when.
