Using the client portal

What clients see and do — approve estimates, view invoices, upload documents and see payslips.

Last updated 12/09/2026

The client portal is where your clients work with you directly. Invite them once, and they can approve quotes, see invoices, upload documents and view payslips without emailing you.

Inviting a client

  1. Open the client's record.
  2. Send a portal invitation (they receive an email with a link to set up their login).
  3. The client sets their own password and signs in at app.averqis.co.uk.

What clients can do

  • Approve or decline estimates — a quote they accept is ready to convert to an invoice.
  • View invoices — money owed, due dates and totals.
  • Upload documents — straight into your documents area (and OCR).
  • View payslips — every payroll run, available any time.
  • See key dates — their deadlines at a glance.
  • Read and reply to messages — with your team in one thread.
  • See open requests — and upload what you asked for, against each item.

Security

The portal uses the same login and two-step verification as the rest of the platform, and clients only ever see their own data.

Tips

  • Tell clients the portal exists — most follow-ups disappear once they use it.
  • Approve an estimate in the portal and it flows straight into invoicing.
  • Payslips in the portal mean you can stop emailing them.
